This Privacy Policy explains how Atwe ("Atwe", "we", "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you use our website, applications, and services (the "Service"). By using Atwe, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information we collect

• Account information — your name, email address, username, password (stored only as a secure hash), and optionally a profile photo, banner, and date of birth.
• Content you create — posts, comments, messages, group chats, circles, feeds, polls, and any media you upload.
• AI conversations — the messages you send to the Atwe AI assistant in order to generate responses.
• Usage and device data — basic technical information such as your device type, browser, and activity needed to operate and secure the Service.
• Payment information — if you upgrade to a paid plan, payments are processed by our payment provider; we do not store your full card details.

2. How we use your information

• To provide, maintain, and improve the Service and its features.
• To power AI assistant responses, messaging, calls, and live streaming.
• To authenticate you, secure your account, and notify you of sign-ins and activity.
• To send you transactional emails (verification, password reset, billing).
• To detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, and security issues.

3. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with trusted service providers who help us operate the Service, and only as needed to provide it, including:

• Hosting and infrastructure providers that run our servers and database.
• AI service providers that process your assistant messages to generate responses.
• Email providers that deliver verification and account emails.
• Payment providers that process subscriptions.
• Real-time communication providers that relay calls and live streams when a direct connection isn't possible.

We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users and the Service.

4. Your content and visibility

Posts and profiles you make public are visible to other users. Direct messages and group chats are visible to their participants. You control who can contact and call you in your Privacy settings, and you can block accounts at any time.

5. Data retention and deletion

We keep your information for as long as your account is active. You can delete your content at any time, and the in-app "Delete full history" option erases your posts, comments, messages, AI chats, and notifications. You may request deletion of your account by contacting us.

6. Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including password hashing, encrypted connections, and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your data.

7. Age requirement

Atwe is intended for users who are 18 or older, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. We ask for your date of birth at sign-up to enforce this.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information. Contact us to exercise these rights.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We'll update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
